Tassie To Completion

So, our playing and adventures are closing to an end in Tassie, originally 3 months we extended 2 weeks because of the VARSTY Ural Rally dates in Melbourne, we could easily extend again if not for the rally but we have to get on with travelling through to the Northern Territory for mid winter or dry season.

Back to Phil and Beths for the last coupla days to help them with a few jobs around the house and mount Beths rack etc was our last mission.

We also helped Bon with her hot water shower system and got that all set up.

Skippy has grown a 20W solar panel for charging and we got an ammo case for some spare brake pads etc.

With Игорь and Скиппи set for the Healesville VARSTY Ural gathering we were armed and dangerous.

We have really enjoyed our Tassie time, seen some majestic views, Mountains, beaches and waterfalls.

We have only just scratched the top of what there is to see and do here even though it isn’t big, very much like New Zealand.

Massive massive thank you to Phil and Beth…good bastids and local knowledge supreme although we managed to go through a road they didn’t know was there and hiked to Dukes Lookout which they hadn’t done…not bad for bloody kiwis. Having access to Phils workshop saw us get many jobs done including the big geometry change with the sidecar to correct her.

During our time here we met Pete with the Ural at Huonville, Wayne and Kristy from NSW on their Ural and bumped into Perry and Lois at St Helens so a very Ural world for us.

We will be back having gained some local knowledge, this taster has been awesome to say the least.
